The new store is designed to have operating area of up to 24000 square meters and equipped with nearly 1000 parking spaces. The Guangzhou store is a joint venture between the retail giant and a local company and part of the construction and fitment has been finished. An insider from the New York-listed company said that the retailer would open more stores in Guangzhou adding that several plans are under negotiation now.
