PetroChina International Company and the Administration of Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Guangzhou on June 22. Data shows that items listed on the project include a refined oil depot pier construction refined oil product trade construction of a petrochemical logistics and distribution center fueling services for international ships ships for both fire fighting and towing functions and other relevant supplementary items. PetroChina will build a refined oil depot with a total storage capacity of 765000 cubic meters and a harbor with a capacity to handle 80000 tons of refined oil products on Xiaohu Island. The project can deal with 500000 tons of refined oil each month. This is PetroChina’s largest refined oil depot and distribution center for important refined oil products in South China.

Nepal shows solidarity on Guangzhou Asian Games

At a visa stamping ceremony on Monday morning NC General Secretary Jeevanram Shrestha from Nepalese side made commitment of participating in the 16th Asian Games which is open in Guangzhou on November 12 2010. Zeng Weiyu Vice Director of the Games Communication and Promotion Department of Guangzhou Asian Games rganizing Committee (GAGC) together with Shrestha put the stamp in official document. As a part of the promotion campaign for 16th Asian Games Guangzhou the “Road of Asia” 14-member Chinese delegation arrived Nepal on Friday to invite Nepal to participate in the Asian Games. The delegation went to naturally beautiful city Pokhara in Kaski district some 200 km west of capital Kathmandu and collect water from the famous Fewa Lake. Addressing the ceremony Zeng said the vision of the GAGC teamed up with “Road of Asia” campaign focusing on the cities along the ancient Silk Road on land and at sea and will be aimed at spreading friendship sharing happiness and promoting the 16th Asian Games as well as its host city. “The campaign will cover all 45 member NCS.
South China school closed as 11 students diagnosed with A/H1N1 flu

The result was confirmed Wednesday by the provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control according to the provincial health department. The authorities decided to close the school for a week and have quarantined those in close contact with the patients. All the patients were in stable condition doctors said.

The five lines include three north-south routes: Beijing-Shanghai; Beijing-Guangzhou (Hong Kong); and Beijing-Harbin (Dalian). The two east-west high-speed lines are Xuzhou-Lanzhou and Shanghai-Kunming. The five lines along with three other lines with a designed speed of between 200 and 350 kph will become the trunk lines of China’s future high-speed passenger rail network. A ministry spokesman declined to say how many kilometers China’s high-speed rail network may end up covering. So far China has built 185 km of rail track capable of handling the 350-kph trains including the country’s first such rail link between Beijing and Tianjin which opened last August.
