On the first day of the charter service Monday a total of 30372 travelers entered the country through Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport representing a rise of 4293 from the same day last week when there were 26079 travelers NIA statistics showed. The number of arrivals and departures totaled 60591 which was similar to the average daily traffic the NIA said. There were a total of 18 flights between Taoyuan and China’s Shanghai Beijing Tianjin Hangzhou Guangzhou and Shenzhen on the first day of the service. The daily charter services are an expansion of the weekend charter passenger services that have been operating between Friday and Monday since July. During the first week of the daily passenger services five Taiwanese carriers and seven Chinese carriers operating the services will together provide a total of 101 flights according to the Civil Aeronautics Administration. The routes to be flown during this period will serve 13 Chinese destinations — Beijing Shanghai Nanjing Guangzhou Xiamen Hangzhou Shenzhen Tianjin Chongqing Chengdu Fuzhou Haikou and Dalian. The four Taiwanese destinations served will be Taoyuan Taipei Kaohsiung and Taichung.

A significant body of dispatched labor and other non-contracted workers exists in the company’s China branch their report said.
