The new venture will open Baiyun International Airport to new technologies and resources from the airport authority China Southern and TravelSky’s aviation information service company. The new company will jointly develop and operate the airport departure system. The current departure system at Baiyun International Airport was launched on August 5 2004 with the opening of the US$3 billion aviation complex. The system uses a state-of-the-art joint-platform departure system supporting operations of multiple background host computers jointly sharing all the foreground departure work stations and peripheral equipment.

Wang said Quzhou-Changshan railroad was a tiny section out of China’s massive railway network but it served as a milestone in the country’s efforts to reform financing for railway construction. Previously railway investment in China had long been monopolized by governments at central and local levels. After the private investment in Quzhou-Changshan railway was published in February 2005 the preparatory group for construction of the Wuhan-Guangzhou passenger express rail in June 2005 announced that they would raise 24 billion yuan (US$ 3 billion) from home and abroad to build the trunk line. The funds would make up about 20 percent of the 116. 6 billion yuan (US$ 14. 58 billion) needed to finance the Wuhan-Guangzhou passenger express line while the Ministry of Railways would provide 51 percent and local governments in the three provinces of Guangdong Hunan and Hubei would cover the remainder. When the express railway is put into service a trip from Wuhan to Guangzhou will take four hours compared with seven at present and the Beijing-Guangzhou trunk railway line will only handle cargo services.

The circumstances are these. Darren Russell was teaching English in Guangzhou to the Decai Language School an unlicensed illegal company. He learned like many who have gone to China to teach that the promises of wages living quarters and teaching load are not as advertised. Russell got into a dispute about the long hours (he was promised 20 hours a week) seven days a week and no work permit with the director who was holding his U… It's understandable why he was scared; he had no money no passport and knew that the school was illegal. His parents wired him money but without identification he couldn't get it. They called the American consulate in Guangzhou which by regulation are supposed to assist American citizens overseas. The consulate which comes under DS wouldn't help. Since his death they have been evasive and unresponsive to questions according to Maxine Russell. The autopsy report says he died from a “blunt force trauma to head and brain” and not from being hit by a truck as the police reported his death. This report conducted by a pathologist in the U.
